Now that the fall is close, we are moving our picking time to Sundays at 5 pm, and eliminating Wednesday evening and Thursday morning picking. We are still getting some peppers and green beans, and in a few weeks will have black eye peas and turnips.
In the past 6 years, we have given out over 7 tons of food to people in the Mechanicsville area! Our volunteers have kept the garden going in this unusual rainy summer.
Please join us November 3 to clean up the the garden and have a Thanksgiving service in the garden. Clean-up of the garden and Atlee Road property begins at 9 am, blessing at 11:30 am. 9077 Atlee Road. Please bring your gloves and garden and lawn rakes. We will provide the rest.
Refreshments will be served.
