How do I get to the Sunday service?

Map to All Souls Episcopal Church

Service starts at 9:30am at Cool Spring Elementary School.   All Souls meets in the cafeteria for the service.  The cafeteria will be down the hall to your right, just past the gym (which we use for our nursery).

There are also plenty of friendly faces to help you with any questions you may have.

To get to Cool Spring Elementary, go onto Atlee Station Road in Mechanicsville.  Then turn south on Honey Meadows Road.  Click on the map to the right for details.

What's the service like?

The service is outlined in a handout that is available for every person.  There is a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary music.  It starts at 9:30am and ends at 10:30am.  People dress in anything from shorts to suits -- it's no big deal how anyone is dressed.  We also use the Book of Common Prayer and have plenty of copies or you can bring your own.

Is there anything to do after the service?

"La Cruz Azul" por Pat Redding Scanlon, 2010 (colcha). From the national Episcopal website. After the service, there is a chance to talk with the other folks over coffee and snacks.  At 11:00am, there are opportunities to go into various Sunday study groups.

Please note:  Adult formation and Sunday School have recessed for the Summer, but will start back up in the Fall.

What do the kids do?

There are at least two adult volunteers in the nursery at all times.

There is also children's chapel for kids 10 or younger during the service.  To get there, the kids follow the person carrying the cross at the beginning of the service.

We encourage those older than 10 to participate in the main service.
