Blessing of Animals at Rutland Shopping Center
As autumn arrives, so does the annual blessing of pets! A procession of animals, dogs, cats, and others, are usually lead into a church for a special ceremony called a Blessing of Pets. This custom is in remembrance of St. Francis, whose Saint day is October 4.
All Souls Episcopal Church invites you and your pets to a procession at the grassy area at Rutland for a pet blessing on October 1, at 2 pm. There will be pet prizes and fun for the entire family. We respect the special bond between Pets and their Human Servants, and hope to see you on October 1 at the Pet Blessing.
